Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Officially Opens After $200 Million Transformation
South Lake Tahoe has entered a new chapter with the official opening of Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino, the $200 million transformation of the former Harveys Lake Tahoe.
The long-awaited reimagining brings redesigned guest rooms, a completely refreshed casino floor, new bars and lounges, expanded meeting spaces, and an elevated pool experience, all steps away from the crystal-clear waters and sunny shores of Lake Tahoe.
The grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, champagne toasts, live entertainment, and appearances from longtime partner Lisa Vanderpump.
The newly unveiled resort reflects a broader shift in Lake Tahoe, where luxury hospitality is increasingly complementing the area’s epic year-round outdoor adventures. Guests will find celebrity dining concepts like WOLF by Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN, the new Tessie’s Cocktails & Chords live music lounge, a reimagined gaming floor, and the High Dive Pool & Lounge.
The property also serves as home to the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena, which continues to host major summer concerts.
Why it’s worth a stop: Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a longer Lake Tahoe road trip, Caesars Republic is helping redefine South Lake Tahoe as more than a casino destination.
Combined with exciting new restaurants opening across the region—from Tahoe City’s Savoie and Smoke Door to the soon-to-open (TBD) Nobu in Incline Village—Lake Tahoe’s hospitality scene is having a banner year.
