The Monaco Open-Air Cinema has returned for the 2026 season, bringing nightly screenings and a lineup of blockbuster films to one of Europe’s most unusual movie venues.
And with tickets from €12 to €23, with discounted pricing for children and students, it’s an affordable night out in Monaco!
Located below the principality’s renowned Oceanographic Museum on “the Rock,” the open-air theater seats around 500 and features a giant screen overlooking the sea.
Films are shown in their original language (V.O.) with French subtitles, making the experience especially popular with international visitors.
The 2026 program begins on 19th June and features a rotation of major Hollywood releases through July. Look for the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic Michael, The Devil Wears Prada 2, Toy Story 5, and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
👉There is no online booking system. Tickets are purchased in person on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early to enjoy sunset views before the film begins at 9:30 p.m.
For travelers spending a few days, the open-air cinema offers a different side of Monaco’s nightlife that feels refreshingly down-to-earth and family-friendly.
📍Want to explore beyond the movie screen? Guided walking tours and scenic boat cruises offer another way to experience Monaco’s scenery, history, and glamorous landmarks.
