Salesforce Park Hosting a Free 3-Day Festival in August

If you’re looking for a fun (and free) reason to head to downtown San Francisco this month, mark your calendar for August 21-23, 2026.

Salesforce Park—the 5.4-acre rooftop oasis perched above the Salesforce Transit Center—is celebrating its eighth birthday with a three-day festival. The all-ages event will feature live music, local food vendors, family activities, and a tasting experience showcasing more than 40 breweries, wineries, cideries, and kombucha makers.

Free outdoor concerts are popular, and this festival transforms one of San Francisco’s best green spaces into a lively summer gathering. Even if you skip the tastings, Salesforce Park is worth a visit for its gardens, walking paths, public art, and elevated city views. It’s one of those places many visitors don’t realize exists until they stumble upon it.

📍If you miss the festival, you can still experience Salesforce Park on this guided downtown architecture tour, which explores the city’s modern landmarks and includes one of San Francisco’s most surprising urban green spaces.

Already planning a San Francisco itinerary?

Pair the festival with time exploring the nearby Embarcadero, wander through North Beach for Italian cafés and City Lights Bookstore, or spend an afternoon discovering the shops and restaurants along Clement Street or Irving Street.

Good to know: Admission to the festival is free. Some food, drinks, and tasting experiences require separate tickets or purchases.
